I'm getting alot of emails asking me to cover certain areas. I hope you understand that it's not easy to get around especially if you don't have the luxury of time. I usually go ukay ukay if i have free time after a meeting, so if i don't have anything to do in a certain place it would be too much of a hassle to go there just to go ukay shopping. If I have time, ok lang I can go.
I will also be objective about it. I'll feature first areas I havn't covered yet. So far I've covered Las Pinas, Muntinlupa, Paranaque, Pasay, Makati, and Taguig. So for this feature I'll cover Manila. There are several Ukay Ukay Destinations in Downtown Manila. One place and probably the most convenient is Isetann in Recto.
RECTO
Isetann Recto is an old mall in downtown manila. It has several shops and a department store. Not many people know that there are also ukay ukay shops here. How many you ask? only 2, but these two shops won't disappoint! The 2 shops are HUGE!!! Probably around 400-500 sqms each, that is just a wild guess. The Ukay Shops here are also branches of popular ukay shops in the metro.
The Ukay Shops here are.
1. RTW Surplus Center
2. Passerby Imported Dry Goods
RTW Surplus Center have several shops in Starmall Alabang, While Passerby is a branch of the Popular ukay shop in Cubao.
Again I'll discuss each shop separately so keep coming back for updates!
HOW TO GET THERE:
Recto, Manila
LRT 2 - get off at Recto Station.
LRT 1 - get off at Carriedo Station then ride a tricycle to Isetann.
WoW!!!I love this!=)
